Harrah’s Buys Horseshoe Gaming for 917 Million

On Thursday September 11th, Harrah's announced that it was purchasing Horseshoe Gaming. These are the properties owned by Jack Binion. They include The Horseshoe in Tunica, Hammond, Indiana, near Chicago; and Shreveport-Bossier. Harrah's, which operates 26 gambling halls, said it intends to sell its Harrah's casino in Shreveport, Louisiana, to avoid overexposure in that market. Read the full story.
