Taxes to Blame for Gambling Revenue Decline

Gambling revenues at Illinois riverboats, including the Par-A-Dice, continue to slide since the implementation of a July 1 state tax increase. Revenues for the first quarter of the state's fiscal year, which began July 1, dropped 10.6 percent from the same time last year.
