TV Educated Poker Players – TVEPPS

I was interviewed for a newspaper article about the recent surge in popularity of Poker. The reporter asked me if watching the TV broadcast of tournaments was a good way for a new player to learn the game. He was surprised when I told him "No!" and asked me to explain why. Here is my answer.
