New Jersy Somking Ban Would Include Casinos

On Monday March14, 2005 New Jersey Senate committee voted 7 to 0 on a measure to ban smoking in all public places. If passed the bill would also include the casinos in Atlantic City. The Casino Association of New Jersey said the proposal would drive gamblers away from the casinos and ultimately hurt the economy. The proposal now heads to the full Senate for a vote.
