Illinois Considers Carding All Players
Tuesday February 7, 2006
Illinois Gaming Board staffers are readying a plan that would require the 15.3 million people who visit the state's nine riverboats each year to show their driver's licenses before being allowed in.
Carding all players would help catch compulsive gamblers who have signed up top ban themselves from the casinos. It would also help do away with under age gambling. The casino owners are afraid it would slow down entry to the casinos and casue long lines. The carding plan will be discussed at the Gaming BOards meeting on February 14th.
