MGM Mirage Chairman Favors Legalizing Internet Gambling

MGM Mirage Chairman Terry Lani recently told attendees at the Thoroughbred Racing Association meeting that casinos and racetracks should work together to legalize more forms of Internet gambling.
Lani said, "Online gaming is a multibillion dollar industry, and it's ridiculous we can't be part of it. We should be able to utilize our brands -racetracks and casinos- to give people confidence to wager online."
Lani cited statistics that showed Americans wager staggering amounts of money on sporting events and other online gambling and suggested that the casinos should be able to tap into that market.
