Jamie Gold Wins WSOP Main Event

After almost 16 hours of final table action Jamie Gold outlasted the other players to win the 2006 World Series of Poker $10,000 No Limit championship title. Along with the title Gold earned of 12 million for efforts.
The final table play began at noon on Thursday and lasted almost 16 hours with the final hand at 3:45am on Friday. Paul Wasicka was runner up and earned 6 million for his second place finish.
ESPN will begin broadcasting the main event on Tuesday August 22, 2006 at 8pm.
