Casino Windsor Offers Sports Betting

Casino Windsor in Ontario Canada will begin offering sports betting on Friday September 1, 2006. This means that gamblers across the border in the Detroit area can now wager legally by taking a quick trip over the river to the casino.
Windsor casino is opening a multimillion-dollar, 170-seat sports lounge, where gamblers can wager on pro football, basketball, hockey and baseball games, as well as college football and basketball.
This gives Casino Windsor an edge over the casinos in Detroit that are not allowed to accept wagers on sporting events. Nevada is the only US State that can legally accept wagers on sporting events. The timing could not be better as this is the start of the college and NFL Football season.

If you look at the Casino Windsor website, you’ll notice that their “sports Betting” is actually some sort of parlay card where you have to bet anywhere from 2-6 games (outcomes); it doesn’t appear that they offer individual game betting like they do in Las Vegas and offshore.
