Don’t Forget Your Passport
Wednesday January 24, 2007
The new travel regulations went into effect on Tuesday January 23, 2007 and everyone traveling to Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda will be required to present a valid passport, Air NEXUS card, or U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Document, or an Alien Registration Card.
Even if you only plan to hop across the Canadian border to play in the casinos for a few hours will need to bring your passport or valid ID with you. Don't get caught off guard. More information is available on the U.S. Department of State website.

The poorly written article about passports says that even if you only go over the border “for a few hours”, you will need a passport. Then the first thing accompanying the gov. link says is “Beginning January 23, 2007, ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling by air” with “air” in bold. 2008 is when the passport will be required for land travel. The writer didn’t even bother to read his own references.
