Frank Bill Would Repeal Internet Gambling Ban
"The issue here is whether adults who work for their money, in the comfort of their homes, should be allowed to engage in a form of recreation which they enjoy and which has no conceivable negative impact on anybody else," said Frank (D-MA) at a Capitol Hill press conference.
Although many feel that it is a step in the right direction, there is doubt that the Bill will pass in its present state and will probably be reworked and rewritten before it has a chance to repeal the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act which was passed in October.
In other news, Gambling 911.com reported that Republican representative Jim Kasper from North Dakota said he would like to explore licensing and regulating internet poker once again in his state of North Dakota.
