Internet Gambling Hearing Set For Friday
Tuesday June 5, 2007
A U.S. House of Representatives panel said on Monday it will hold a hearing on Friday to look at Internet gambling. The hearing will discuss whether Internet gambling can be regulated to protect consumers and the payment processors. This hearing is the result of the bill proposed in April by Massachusetts Democrat Barney Frank. No one expects much from the hearing but it is a positive sign that the issue is being discussed. Millions of online poker players are hoping for some sort of resolution in the future.
