Hard Rock Opens in Biloxi

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Biloxi, MS opened its doors on Saturday two years after the original date for the opening. The Hard Rock was scheduled to open the 318 room hotel and casino in August of 2005, when Hurricane Katrina hit the area damaging the building and surrounding area.

It took two years and $75 million to rebuild the resort and get it ready for its new opening date of 7/7/07. The Hard Rock is the first new major resort to open in the area in the last eight years. It features 1,445 slot machines along with 50 table games, a poker room, spa, restaurants and night club/lounge.
