Jerry Yang, a 39-year-old psychologist and social worker from Temecula, California is the winner of the 2007 main event at the World Series of Poker. Yang outlasted 6,358 players in the tournament that started on Friday July 6th. He won $8.25 million for his efforts. Yang said he would donate 10 percent of his winnings to charity

Yang has only been playing poker for about two years and he won his way into the $10,000 event by winning a $225 satellite. He had to fight hard and come from behind during the final table action that took almost 16 hour to complete. Yang knocked out seven of his eight final table opponents.
