Horse Racing at Saratoga
Wednesday August 8, 2007
Never mind the "Boys of Summer." For me the true sign of summer is horse racing at the Saratoga race track in upstate New York. Thoroughbred racing there opened on July 25th and runs through September 3rd. I think the track at Saratoga is one of the nicest tracks that I have visited and I look forward to my annual trip each August.
Racing is held daily except for Tuesdays. General admission is $3 and Clubhouse admission is $5. Children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult. Before you head for the track be sure to read about horse racing and parimutuel wagering. And for information check out the About.com Horse Racing site.
