Online Poker Victory Predicted

Thursday November 15, 2007
The panelists of keynote discussion at the G2E on Wednesday discussed the outlook of internet gambling in the United States. The panel included former Senator Alfonse D'Amato, chairman of the Poker Player's Alliance; J. Terrence Lanni, chairman and CEO of MGM MIRAGE; Gary Loveman, chairman, CEO and president of Harrah's Entertainment, Inc.; and Andre Wilsenach, CEO of the Alderney Gambling Control Commission.

When asked about over turning the present ban of online poker, D"Amato said, "We will win this battle." He said he expects the legalization of online poker in the United States within 18 months. The panel agreed. They said pending sanctions by the World Trade Organization due to current U.S. policy on Internet gambling could be the major driver for legalization because non-gaming corporations likely to be affected by the sanctions could put pressure on Congress to make a change.

The panelists said they expect online poker to be legalized prior to other online casino-style games. There was consensus among the panelists that it is possible to successfully regulate Internet gambling to prevent underage gambling and ensure player protection.

After the discussion I had a minute to briefly speak with D'Amato and he assured me that there was reason for optimism but urged everyone who is interested in getting online poker legal to contact their Senators and Representatives and ask them to support proposed legislation that would legalize online poker such as the Barney Frank bill.

Online gaming should be limited to only companys in the USA. Enough money is bleeding out of this country now. Look at the value of the dollar.
Online gaming losses should be limited somehow for addictive personalities that gamble over their head.
If we can’t control these off shore entities then they should not be allowed to do business in our country. To corporations:Stop selling out the USA.

PLEASE UPDATE, AND CONTINUE TO INFORM US OF
HOW LONG THIS ‘ NEW PROHIBITION ‘ WILL LAST!

TODAY IS SUNDAY, 29TH JUNE, 2008. A BILL WAS
PROPOSED BY REPRESENTATIVES FRANK AND PAUL, WHICH WOULD HAVE ALLOWED LEGALIZED INTERNET GAMING IN THE USA. IT FAILED BY A VERY SMALL MARGIN. IN THE WORDS OF THE JEWISH POET, PEREZ, (”NIGHT”), I WANT TO KNOW, “How long, how long…..?”

In other countries, where legal interent gaming is allowed, there has been NO increase in hedonism, and NO increase in mob influence! Just happy winners, losers who vow to be more careful next time, AND GOVERNMENTS WHO ALWAYS COLLECT NICE BIG FAT TAXES ON WINNINGS!

Yesterday, I read that the Bush Administration is on the verge of stopping “some” economic sanctions on North Korea. Soon, all of them will probably be let down. North Korea is full of terrified people, living under a tyrannical dictorship. Besides everything else, political prisoners, pows, and common criminals, are all sent to what amounts to “modern day concentration camps.” NOT ONLY IS THE “OFFENDER” SENTENCED TO THESE BARBARITIES….BUT THE E N T I R E….F A M I L Y…OF THESE “OFFENDERS” ARE SENT THERE.

Is renewing economic relations with such a totalitarian regime “moral”, whilst allowing American citizens to gamble on the internet, “immoral”? We already have relationships with the People’s (????) Republic of China, (no bastion of democracy, that!), and did NOTHING to help CRIS PATON, the last British governor of Hong Kong, to stop the annexation of this small area of freedom, to become part of Communist China.

And the Bush Adminstration still says internet gambling is “sinful”, and so must be stopped for American citizens?

I suppose I’m just a simple type, who doesn’t understand how government really works, and what “sinful” really means….but somehow, I feel that sending people to concentration camps, (with their entire families), is WRONG, and allowing American citizens to gamble on the internet, and paying specified, large taxes on their winnings, (instead of having their own nightmares, with figuring out how much tax to pay to the IRS) is right.
But the people in Washington DC are our leaders, and they know what’s best for us common citizens….don’t they?

Like SO many others, I’m counting the days until George H.W. Bush is OUT of office, and ANYONE else comes in. George “How? Why?” Bush should never have become president. He should have formed a C O M E D Y…T E A M..
- with DAN QUAYLE! (”Bush & Quayle”…so perfect together!) As it is, the crulest jokes are on the citzens of North Korea…and we who want only to make some money online with our gaming skills….and also pay a fair tax to the government for this convenience. (Personally, I am handicapped, do not have a car, live in a state which does not have my favourite games in it’s land-based casinos….and made $976 in play money this morning, practicing! You bet I’m upset!)

PLEASE KEEP US UPDATED ON OUR CHANCES FOR A RETURN OF LEGALIZED INTERNET GAMING — IN ALL GAMES, (NOT JUST LOTTERIES, SPORTS BETTING AND HORSE-RACING….WHICH ARE S O CHANCY, ONLY VERY RICH PEOPLE CAN HOPE TO WIN ANYTHIGN IN THEM!). INQUIRING MINDS….AND INTELLIGENT PEOPLE….WANT TO HAVE THESE UPDATES!

” I ..WANT.. TO…PAY…MORE…TAXES…BUT
…THE…GOVERNMENT…WON’T…LET…ME…: (

Its Nov 2, 2008, and before you get to excited about legal internet gambling in the US, take a look at what the idiot Gov of Kentucky is attempting to do. He thinks he can take control of 141 internet gambling domains, which includes poker sites. He has a Judge in agreement with him. They have given the 141 sites 30 days to block Ky players from their sites, or this power abuser sawed off runt Gov, will indeed become owner of these sites. Not only is this move against International and Federal Trade Laws, but, this jerk is using the lame excuse that he is protecting Ky’s children from gambling online. Give me a break, if a parent does not know the kid is gambling online, then the parent deserves it. This stupid Gov forgets to mention that while he is using tax payers money to front this fraudulent move, that there are many children in the eastern part of the state of Ky, who go to bed hungry everynight because they are extremly poor! Protect the children? This idiot has not a clue what he is doing, or does he? One more important fact to mention here, this Gov, Steve Breshear was elected becaue of his stand on legal gambling in the state. He promised there would be at least 12 new legal casinos open up in Ky when he was elected…Joke was on him, he was over ruled! Now he wants to gain control of “illegal gambling” on the internet? Big Back Woods YeeHaw for this mudd sucking pig. All of the Microgaming casinos have blocked Ky from playing at their internet sites, and did so the day after the judge ruled. This move is not legal, however, it has to go through the channels to prove. Microgaming has chosen to slap Ky players in the face by running scared, we will see in a few weeks just what the pokers sites decide to do, for if they do not block Ky Poker Players, then I suppose they will have to give up their sites to this fine leader of KY. YES I am from Ky, and very sorry to say so!!
