Lucky Rituals
Thursday December 20, 2007
Over the years I have seen many players in the casino use some sort of ritual to help bring them luck when they play. Many players will bring a lucky charm or talisman with when they play. I have seen some slot players take out and put in their player's card in hopes of changing their luck. One player I know always carries a small packet of salt and will sprinkle some around the machine when things are going badly. I have seen players talk to the machines, draw symbols on the screen with their fingers and drop to their knees and pray as they played.
Luck and superstition is not limited to just the slot players. It has become common place for poker players to use a lucky charm to protect their cards as they play. Many Craps players believe that if the dice go off the table they must ask for the same dice or they will seven out if they use a new one.
Do you have any lucky rituals that you use when you play? Have you seen players do anything truly bizarre while they are playing to bring them luck? If you have, please share your thoughts and stories about what you do or what you have seen others do. I think it will be interesting.

What the rituals should be for playing slot machine online? i gonna play there
When playing craps If the dice flip off the table I pull down my bets I can; as often it seems a person throwing the dice will next hand 7 out.
I almost never randomly throw the dice down the table. I usually set the dice to a certain number, and the number varies, depending on my whim of the moment. Often the dealer will pre – set the dice for me before I get them, which I appreciate. I’ve read in some craps books that dealers don’t like people who set the dice, but I’ve never encountered any animosity, and I’ve been playing craps for years.
If I have a hat on and winning, I’ll wear it next time. If loosing, I retire the hat. Always bet C & E after the come out role. It hits more then you would think.
Whatever it was that I did special and had a lucky night, I never repeat it – it doesn’t work twice for me.
In going to a local casino (Casino Morongo) almost every weekend, I’ve combined my military intelligence background with my interest in gaming: I carry a very old Casino Dieppe chip, site of the disastrous 1942 raid. I find that I still loose, however, but at a much slower rate.
I have 2 dice tatooed on my left shoulder. A 5 and a 4. Rubbing my shoulder will help hit some numbers. Especially the 9. Cold dice, take a shot of your favorite booze, and walk away.

I always do a Hail Mary before I shoot those dice, bow three times to the east and say”Baby needs a new pair o’ shoes! Works every time.
What’s the difference between praying in church and praying in a casino?
When yiou’re praying in a casino, you really mean it!

I always carry a Chinese lucky charm with me into a casino. In fact many people have ask me what is “it”. Guesses has vary from a hat, boat, piece of candy etc. It’s so well known and sort after that many good friends have been given “it” as a present. May if bring them “luck” in everything they do. “Luck comes and goes…Knowledge stays forever” Good Luck in the New Year.
THE LESS MONEY I BRING I SEEM TO WIN THE MORE MONEY I BRING I LOSE !
I run my hand three times over the slot screen to “whammy” the machine. After about three runs, I get a hit most times. I also carry a winning wishbone, a couple of lucky stones and a Japanese good luck cat. Oh, and I wear red somewhere on my person. Do they all work? Nope.
I visualize myself winning (miracle metaphysics) and I gamble best by myself so I CAN FOCUS AND DEVELOP THAT PNG WINNING RHYTHUM, NO DISTRACTIONS PLEASE LOL.
I carry an angel coin and a bibilical talisman. I figure when sinning in a casino, it can’t hurt.
