Boyd Gaming to Combine Players Club

Sunday January 13, 2008
Boyd Gaming is revealing their new slot club this week with several new innovations including a tiered based rewards program based on the amount of gambling a player does. The new plan offers more perks to high-volume gamblers as an incentive for players to move up the ranks. Harrah's and the Station casinos have had tier based plans for years.

The biggest change in the players club will be the combining of all Boyd's Nevada properties to into a single club. Boyd bought the Coast Casinos in 2004 and combined the slot clubs of those casinos in 2006. However the merger of the clubs did not include Boys other casinos including Sam's Town and three properties in downtown Las Vegas as well as other casinos outside of Nevada. The new club will combine the Nevada casinos but there is no word as to whether it will be a national players club at this time.
