PokerPro Leads the Way in Electronic Poker Tables

Thursday January 17, 2008

Electronic poker tables have been making their way off of the internet poker sites and into the brick and mortar cardrooms around the World. These new tables are sure to modernize the face of the traditional poker rooms. If you have not seen one yet, you probably will before too long. Many are installing the PokerPro tables. Playing on them is easy and there are several advantages as well. Here is a look at PokerPro tables.

Its amazing that the casinos think we poker players would want to MODERNIZE the way we play poker!! Personally, the feel of the cards, the chips, the felt of the table, the sheer aesthetics of the GAME, is why I like to play in a brick and mortar casino card room, if I wanted to play digitally I would stay home and play ONLINE!! Throw this garbage in the dumpster and give me my cards and chips!

I agree with you 100%. They did the same with the slots. There is nothing like the old reel spinners with the clanking coins – it’s all part of the ‘experience’. Now they are replacing them with electronic video machines with printed tickets. All of this is not with the intention of giving the player a better game, but to increase the profits of the big corporations by eliminating employees. It’s working for them because they are able to draw new players to the game, yet the experienced players are being shortchanged.
They are making these sweeping changes in AC, and, as a result, the 2007 revenues slipped for the first time in history.
I think the era of fun gaming is over. It all about the greedy owners and the lust for greater profits. Only if the patrons realize this and refuse to go play at these places do we stand a chance of avoiding ruining the games.

I agree with both of you. It really stinks. Electronic slots, craps, roulette, and now poker. Greed thats what its all about , more play per hour more money for the casinos.

I THINK IT IS TO THE ADVANTAGE OF THE PLAYER AS WELL AS THE CASINO.
YOU GET TO PLAY MORE HANDS IN ANY GIVEN TIME AND A GOOD PLAYER SHOULD FEEL THAT HE IS GOING TO WIN THE MORE TIMES HE CAN PLAY. ALSO NO TIPPING, SAVES A GOOD PERCENTAGE TOWARD WINNINGS. ALSO NO MISTAKES ARE MADE BY THE DEVICE, AND LASTLY YOU KNOW WHAT AND WHERE EVERY OPPONENT HAS.
ONE OF MY GREATEST JOYS IS THE ABSCENCE OF THE DOPY DRAMATICS THAT SOME DIMWIT PLAYERS USE AS A PLOY. TAKE TOO LONG AND YOUR HAND IS MUCKED.
TRUE, CHANGE IS RESISTED AND THAT IS THE REASON IT WILL TAKE A WHILE FOR THIS TO BE THE NORM.

I love the new Poker Teks,i guess you want to touch the cards and chips that the guy in the seat next to you just wiped his nose before he folded.Or maybe the guy that has the box of tissues in front of him sneezing into the chips you are now stacking. As far as getting tells from players by the way they bet, only about 5% of poker players know how to read tells and body language. I say thank god i dont have to worry about the dealer mucking another winner.

Lets see, the way this operations is going to work is by profit from the rake. But what if the machine takes your input or data of the cards you like to play… and say it pushes you these cards to play so that theres more money in the pot and of course a higher rake.. yayaya i know theres a maximum amount they can take..
Thats one thing how about the relationship you have with the dealers or just the common knowledge of them… its nice to go into a poker room where you are known…
Or here are a couple of examples of what the table cant do…
sample one: when your taking a smoke, bathroon break or what ever and you want to be dealt a hand… you can scream to the dealer…
sample two: when you want cocktails … whos gonna scream … COCKTAILS out to the floor so they can get you a drink…
Sample Three: whos gonna watch for other players grouping up and going against a single donkey… there is cheating .. out there.. if you didnt know…
The dealer is a sherrif and controls the game as well as makes it fun for all of the players…
Whats next electronic prostition…

Lets get real… and keep our poker history alive… what would Doyle say… or all the legends that have past away…
