The MGM at Foxwoods launched a recruitment campaign this week to staff to the newest casino slated to open in Connecticut in May. The MGM at Foxwoods will employee 2,000 people and also supply 1,000 new jobs at its leased restaurants and stores. They are accepting online applications on the MGM at Foxwoods website.

Last week About.com New England Travel Guide Kim Knox-Beckius and I received a tour of the new casino that is still under construction. The MGM at Foxwoods will have a very distinct and different look reminiscent of the casinos that are found on the Las Vegas Strip. The casino will have 53 table games and 1,400 slot machines. There will be 825 guest rooms, a convention center, Signature restaurants, 4,000 seat theatre, spa and an indoor and outdoor pool. I am looking forward to seeing the completed casino when they hold their grand opening in a few months.
