The Things We Do For Luck
Thursday February 7, 2008
Several weeks ago I asked my readers to share some of the rituals that they have observed or practiced in the casino. The response I received was amazing and I found that there are many more players than I originally imagined who try to influence lady luck when they play. If you have ever openly or secretly performed a lucky ritual, rest assured, you are not alone. Here are some of the things we do for luck.

Heres alittle luck to think about….
If Las Vegas Casinos try giving back more of a percentage than they take, your gonna find the folks are going to stay home and gamble at there local casinos in there states. All ya have to do is go to these casinos and see just how many jackpots, at smaller denominations, they’re getting. 10 yrs ago, you could walk in any of them and see a few lites go on machines. Nowadays, its rarely seen.
If Las Vegas wants to keep its #1 destination to gamble, they better wake up,cause folks are catching on…quick.
I’m all for corporates making a profit,
but just watch the quarterly earnings they have made. And when you start seeing a decline in profits (which you will),Las vegas will surely be dissappointed when they don’t see everyone filling the rooms, except for the high rollers, who can afford to risk
on some form of gambling.I’m a firm believer that the middle class folks, that has supported Las Vegas, has grown to believe that theres not much chance to win here, as it is in there own states. So heres where the “luck” comes in…If Las Vegas Casinos want to survive the economic down, they got to convince folks to take a chance in Vegas, and give these folks a reason to come back.If not, they will be “lucky” to stay alive.
Thanks for hearing me out. But I see this trend coming…and very soon !
