Are You Cutting Back on Casino Visits?
Tuesday March 11, 2008
We all know economic situation has gotten worse over the last few months. Many of us are cutting back on our spending trying to save money when we can. One of the first places where people cut back is the money they spend on entertainment. Many of the casinos are reporting a slowdown of the number of visitors. I was wondering if the economy has changed the amount of times you have visited the casino in the last few months. Will it affect you in the future?

Yes, we have definitely cut back on the number of trips. Not only that, we don’t spend nearly as much on each trip when we do go. In addition, we do not enjoy ourselves nearly as much as before. Corporate greed has taken a lot of the fun out of the games and we don’t feel as if we get good value for dollar(s) anymore.
The casinos have not offered as many specials on rooms as they used to. I know if I could save more on the rooms and meals, I would exponentially increase my gaming play.
I usually budget for my trips to the casinos. Gas has been a big fact in our trips. We use to go to Kansas City, Missouri or St. Louis, Missouri more but now I figure I can spend what I would have spent on gas at Boonville, Missouri. Our bigger casinos trip have been on a bus to Tunica. It has really changed our way of thinking. I think the casinos have also set their way of keeping us there with small jackpots. Thanks
