Fremont Street Segway Tour
<I always advise people to plan some non-gambling activities when they visit the casino, especially when they are there for more than a day. Doing this lets you to take a break from gambling and allows you to see some sights and enjoy some of the other activities that you would do during a non-gambling vacation.
Whenever I go to Las Vegas I look for something new and unique to try. Last year I took a day trip down the Colorado River in a kayak that proved to be one of the most exciting experiences I have had in Las Vegas. This trip I wanted to try something different and when I heard about Segway tours in Las Vegas I knew that this is what I wanted to do. I was staying downtown and was surprised to learn that Segway of Las Vegas was located on Fremont Street a short walk from where I was staying at the Vegas Club. I called and signed up for the tour.
The Segway tour consists of a trip up and down Fremont Street with a guide showing you the sights and giving you the history of Las Vegas and the downtown casinos. Although I am quite familiar with the history of the downtown area I found the tour to be interesting and learned a few facts that I did not know. However, my main reason for taking the tour was to ride one of these modern marvels and I discovered just how much fun it is to ride a Segway and how easy they are to operate. My tour guide, Kevin gave me some helpful hints to get started and within a few minutes I was completely comfortable riding my Segway.
Segway of Las Vegas offers two tours. There is a 30 minute tour for $20 and an hour tour for $40. I chose the hour tour because I wanted more riding time. I usually recommend that anyone who visits Las Vegas should go downtown to see Fremont Street. If you want to see it in a really unique way you should see it while riding a Segway.
