Mohegan Sun Celebrates New Casino Opening

On October 12, 1996 I stood outside of the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville Connecticut waiting for the ribbon to be cut marking the opening of the newest casino in the northeast. At that time I did not know that the Mohegan Sun would become one of the largest casinos in the world and one of the premiere resort destinations in New England. In the 13 years since the doors to the Casino of the Earth opened, I have had the honor of attending every opening ceremony of the Mohegan Sun's expansion and watched it grow from a tiny casino to a world class vacation resort.

Two weeks ago the Mohegan Sun hosted a star filled weekend to celebrate the opening of the new Casino of the Wind and their new state of the art poker room. Many well known celebrities were on hand to join in on the celebration. The party included a concert from the Band from TV and many of those visiting the casino got to see some of their favorite stars. Here is a review of the Mohegan Sun Casino.
