Atlantic City Tropicana Fails to Regain License
Wednesday November 26, 2008
The New Jersey Supreme Court upheld the Casino Control Commission's decision to revoke the license of the Tropicana hotel and casino. The Commission revoked the gaming license last December and ordered the casino to be sold. The former owners filed suit trying to regain their license and this was an obstacle holding back a sale. Of course in the years time the recession has had a major impact on the gaming industry and a sale may take a while.
