Despite the bad economy and the fact that casino business on the Las Vegas Strip is down, The Encore opened on Monday. The Encore is the newest Steve Wynn property which cost 2.3 billion adds an additional 2,034 rooms to the Las Vegas Strip which has been having problems filling the rooms in recent months. Occupancy at all of the Strip resorts is down and most casinos are not expecting to see much of a turnaround in 2009. This is good news for guest wanting to experience a night at the new Encore. Rates can be found for as low as $159 per night.
