Colorado to Raise Limits July 2nd

Sunday January 25, 2009
In December voters in Colorado voted to raise the $5 minimum bet at the casinos Blackjack and poker games to $100. They also approved a change that will now allow Roulette and Craps games. This will take place at all of the States 40 casinos on July 2nd. The casinos will also be allowed to stay open 24 hours a day if they wish to. Presently the casinos open at 8 am and close at 2 am. The extra 6 hours is expected to bring more revenue to the State. Many players had expressed frustration in not being allowed to bet more than five dollars on a game.
