Las Vegas Entertainer Danny Gans Dead at 52
When I visit Las Vegas I enjoy going to the shows almost as much as I enjoy gambling. Las Vegas truly is the "Entertainment Capital of the World" and I try to see as many shows as I can when I get to town.
Over the last several years the price of show tickets has increased dramatically, but there was a time when shows were inexpensive and you could find quality new acts in the casino lounges and smaller showrooms. During one of my visits to Las Vegas in 1996 I caught a show at the Stratosphere casino that featured a comedian/impressionist who was billed as an up and coming star. I think the tickets were priced at $10 and I was completely blown away by the performer named Danny Gans. After seeing the show I told my friends that I thought this guy would be a star and my prediction came true. Gans went on to become one of the top performers in Vegas. I'm sure most people who have seen his show are as deeply saddened by his untimely death as I am.

A most probable cause of death: Suspect second hand solvent exposure … someone who came around on Wed, that was probably a new person. People over exposed to glycol ether chemicals can breath the chemical out in their respiration as they are trying to get it out of their system, and it gets into the eyes of others. I suspect he died of acute autoimmune hemolytic anemia. At the very least the cause of death will not be blamed on medications/drugs like happened to Anna Nicole Smith’s flu.
It was after his show on Wed that he had severe fatigue and was going to bed a lot thereafter. He also had shortness of breath prior to his death per a couple of news reports.
