I picked up a copy of Arizona Gaming Guide on my trip this week to an Arizona poker room, but since I got seated right away I didn't need to read the magazine until later in the day, but enjoyed it when I did.
Arizona Gaming Guide is a relatively new publication (above is the May 2011 issue, volume 2, issue 10) featuring gaming information and the casinos of Arizona. Editor-in-Chief Alexandra Lang has put together an interesting and informative glossy magazine that has enough content to balance the casino advertising inherently familiar to most small gaming magazines.
The current issue features three pages on the NIGA 2011 Tradeshow in Phoenix, an interview with Hon-Dah Resort's slot manager Armando Rodriguez, a behind-the-scenes look at a slot department putting in new slots, and a short story from a columnist.
The magazine has a nice future ahead of it, especially if they add a couple more regular columnists to fill-out each issue with gaming advice and stories. Worth the read.

I love the Arizona Gaming Guide! I have learned so much since I started reading this magazine. I know they’re new, but I agree they need to expand their publication! I love their slot section and they always have the most interesting feature stories and Sami is cool. I guess they were slot designers so it’s neat to hear all the juicy details and secrets behind the scenes. I just subscribed to the magazine so I don’t have to worry about missing it at the casino. I definitely would recommend it to anyone. If you like going to the casino you gotta read this magazine.
