Want some great gambling advice? Stop trying to "get even." I've watched thousands of people over the years with the misguided belief that they have to get all their losses back - RIGHT NOW.
Stop thinking that way and you will do yourself a world of good. Besides, if you lose a big pot at poker or some chips at blackjack, it's not your money any more! Those chips are not soldiers you now have to rescue.
Unfortunately, players often breakdown with that crazy idea of ownership and blow a lot more cash chasing what it turns out was only a tiny fraction of what they had intended to spend. Oh, wait, sounds like you should have a bankroll for gambling and not spend your rent/groceries/food money at the table. Sorry.
Ever heard the expression, "Don't go chasing good money with bad?" Well that should be changed to, "Don't chase what used to be your money."
I've already seen more gambling than most of you will in your lifetimes. And, I can tell you that when it comes to gambling, and things are going crappy, they rarely turn around and get great - they usually keep running badly. So don't lose $1000 chasing that first $100.
Set a bankroll you can afford to risk, and if you reach it, quit. Good luck,

yrs ago I was down $50 and instead of leaving I went back to the tables to get even. I left the casino at 1 am with a loss of $1000 Hard way to learn a lesson but I NEVER did that again !!
I learned my lesson early in life. At a fair, 15 yrs old, I blew $25 picking ducks for a winner, then tryin to get back my losses. Now, my Lady & I go to the racino for the senior buffet & penny slots and have a ball! We’re happy if we win enough to keep us playing 5-6hrs. I admit jackpots aren’t big nor often, but we’ve won 6 @$1000.+ from NY,VA,IL, and Montreal in the past 6yrs. Like most casinos remind you, “REMEMBER, IT’S JUST A GAME!”
