The Commerce will begin the final major poker tournament of the year on November 2, 2011. The event runs through November 21, and offers tournaments with buy-ins as low as $125 says Jeff Harris, Commerce Casino Manager.
If you know how to play poker, you can give a tournament a shot - but there are some differences to a standard game. The main change is that each player starts with the same number of chips. In addition, the blinds, antes and minimum bets are raised about every 20 minutes.
To win a tournament you have to continually win hands because the limits just keep going up!
Big Bucks for Winning!This year's L.A. Poker Open will offer guaranteed prize pools of from $25,000 to $600,000 for the Championship Event. The entry fee for the Championship (No-limit Texas Hold'em) is $2085 with an estimated prize of $150,000 for the winner!
