Meet a Casino Host

by Bill Burton
for About.com

The Casino Host is the person who can authorize comps and help make arrangements for your stay.
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 30 minutes

Here's How:

  1. Join the player's club first.
  2. Put your card in the slot machine before playing.
  3. Play for at least 30 minutes to get some credit on your card.
  4. Put on the change light.
  5. Tell the change person or slot attendant that you would like to speak to a Casino Host.
  6. When Host arrives introduce your self.
  7. Ask about the policy for room and food comps.
  8. Ask if you play has qualified you or how much more you need.
  9. Ask the Host for a business card so you can contact them on your next visit.

Tips:

  1. Always ask nicely for a comp. Never Demand one.
  2. Buffet comps are easier to get than restaurant comps.
  3. Remember to thank your Host.
