2003 Readers' Choice Awards for Riverboat & Land based Casinos

Casino Gambling continues to expand all across the country. Each year there are more and more places where players can find a place to play their favorite games. It seems however that when surveys are done about favorite casinos, we only hear about the big gaming venues like Las Vegas or Atlantic City. The truth is that the majority of players around the country visit only the casinos in their state or those states close to where they live.

There are many casinos in the Midwest States of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan and Missouri. Since December of 1996 Midwest Gaming and Travel Magazine has been publishing a magazine devoted to gaming as well as highlighting the casinos in the Midwest States. This year, in the March issue they polled their readers for their Midwest Gaming & Travel 2003 Readers' Choice survey of riverboat and land-based casinos in the Midwest. They also asked readers to select their favorite casinos in several gaming-related and hospitality categories.

Here is a quick list of the favorite casino in each State:
Illinois - Hollywood Casino Aurora
Indiana - Argosy Casino & Hotel
Iowa - Ameristar Casino Hotel
Michigan - Greektown Casino
Missouri- Ameristar Casino St. Charles

You can read the complete results, including all the other categories by clicking on the “Survey Results link in the sidebar. The complete list of survey results will also be published in the June issue of Midwest Gaming & Travel.
