Sam's Town, Tunica Gaming Seminar
I've written about free casino lessons and how they help players to learn the basics of the game. These lessons are good for teaching you the protocol for playing at the table but in most cases the education stops there with only a slight mention of proper playing strategy. Rarely will these lessons go into detail explaining the house edge and which bets are best for the player, That's why I was surprised when I learned about a unique event that will take place at Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall in Tunica Mississippi.
On Saturday May 20th Sam's Town is hosting a free gaming seminar for its player's club members featuring Frank Scoblete gaming's number one best-selling author and slot expert John Robison in a day of talks and seminars about casino gaming. Walter Thomason, author of the best-selling Twenty-First Century Blackjack: A New Strategy for a New Millennium and Alene Paone, publisher of Paone Press and writer of Just Ask AP, a syndicated gaming column will be participating in the various activities planned the day as well.
When Frank sent me the information about the Sam's Town event. He said, "I'm very excited about this event because it is rare when a casino invites gaming experts to talk to their players. Some casino executives have lived by the 'mantra the dumber our players, the better we like it.' But Sam's Town is breaking the mold in a daring way because they are saying to their Players' Club Card members, 'Hey, we're willing to give you the best shot at our money and to prove it, we'll help you attain the best possible information.'"
Frank invited me to join him in Tunica and I accepted his invitation. I will be at Sam's Town on Saturday May 20th and I encourage all of you who live in the area to stop by and join in on this event. Here are the scheduled activities for the day.

10AM: Meet the participants.

11AM: Winning at Slots.
Frank Scoblete and John Robison will show you which slots to play and how
to play them. Learn how the machines really work and what "facts" are true
and what "facts" are myths about the one-armed bandits!
1PM: Winning at Craps
Frank Scoblete will explain exactly how the casino gets the edge at craps
and what you can do about it. Frank will show you the best methods for reducing
the house edge and positioning yourself to take advantage of hot rolls. I
will handing out my free Craps Reference
Chart during the lesson.
3PM: Winning at Blackjack
Frank Scoblete will discuss the basic strategy for blackjack and some more
advanced methods that can be used to cut the house edge. Included will be
a discussion with Walter Thomason about his new system, the Thomason 4-Step
Positive Progression with Quit Points.
