Project Sunburst has added numerous dining and shopping venues to the Mohegan Sun. There are now over 40 retail and restaurant outlets located in the two casinos and shopping area.

Patrons can chose to grab a quick snack in the food court of enjoy a fine gourmet meal in new restaurant appropriately named Rain. There are two Michael Jordan signature restaurants. Michael Jordan's Steak House offers top-grade steaks in a contemporary setting. The all-American grill, 23 Sportcafe features large fabric screens highlighting Jordan's great basketball career. These are just a few of the dining opportunities available to the patrons looking for some dining options

The Shops at Mohegan Sun is a premium retail destination with 130,000 sq. ft of retail space offering visitors a wide variety of shopping options. There are many well know stores taking up residence in the new retail area.

Entertainment abounds at the Mohegan Sun. In the Casino of the Earth is the Wolf Den, which seats 350 patrons and offers free entertainment seven nights a week. Now Project Sunburst has added two new entertainment venues.

The 10,000-seat state of the art arena will host national acts and concerts along with world championship boxing matches, sporting events and more. The arena can accommodate many shows that were previously considered too big for the area.

Cabaret

The 300-seat Cabaret will have a nearly continuous schedule of entertainment in an intimate setting. The design of the new cabaret pays homage to the four elements. Four columns of clear tubing, visible across the casino floor; display animated special effects representing air water fire and earth.

Phase two of Project Sunburst will see the opening of a 1,200-room luxury hotel and a large convention center. These are slated to open in April 2002.
