Winpoker allows you to learn game while you are having fun playing. When you play using the BDPW software you can choose the amount of help want from the program. There are five teaching modes:

Auto Hold
This mode holds the cards that will result in the best-expected return.

Warn
This mode allows you to hold the cards and WinPoker alerts you to an error. You will have the option to change the cards you hold.

Test
This mode alerts you when you make a mistake but does not allow you to change your holding.

Show
This mode ALWAYS shows the correct play (whether you make an error or not) and 2) you are not alerted to an incorrect play nor given the severity of an incorrect play.

None
This mode duplicates the Casino experience. During practice sessions, your play is evaluated. You’ll know how much money your mistakes would have cost you and what percentage of accuracy you are achieving.

The graphics are excellent and the speed of the game is superior to anything on the market. 23 games are prepackaged, including all of the standards, plus some of the newer ones you won’t find on many other computer trainers. You can go between any of these games with the click of a mouse. The best, or most common pay schedule, is pre-programmed for each game, but you can change schedules very quickly.

You can play the program using either your mouse or your keyboard. I have found that it is faster and easier to use the number keys on my keyboard. You can also start a new hand or draw by hitting the "enter" key.

You change the pay schedule and then use the analysis feature to determine the payback for that pay schedule. The program can copy the results of your analysis to your clipboard, in case you want to save information in word processing or spreadsheet applications. You can also analyze any single hand to determine which are the best cards to hold for that particular situation.

Other options allow you to play using the double up feature. You can choose whether or not you want sound or change the color of the cards if you like. You can also set the game to play multi-line games. You can set if for, Triple play, four play, five play or ten play.
