While not every state has casinos, nearly every state (Utah and Hawaii do not) allows some type of charitable or social gambling. How free casino parties work is a question often asked by new dealers looking for jobs, and players looking for fun! Games offered usually include poker, blackjack, craps and roulette.
Gambling outside of traditional casinos is offered in many cities, especially large metropolitan areas. Whether you are in Virginia (where you might check out Casinos by DelVecchio), Georgia (where you can find Georgia Casino Night), or Phoenix (where Dream Dealers rules the Valley), you can find businesses specially-designed to bring a casino night to you and your business!
Casino party rental businesses provide specialized, free gambling for all types of occasions such as birthday parties, fundraisers, corporate events, and holiday gatherings. The businesses pay a fee to the casino night provider so their employees can have a fun, exciting, and free party. In turn, the party groups hire experienced (and training) dealers at good wages to provide authenticity to their events. The better the dealers, the more likely the businesses will be successful.Spotlight on Phoenix Dream Dealers
Phoenix, Arizona, with a population of over 1.5 million is the perfect location for casino party groups. In fact, the Phoenix Valley, which includes other large cities like Tempe, Scottsdale, and Mesa, is home to over 4.5 million residents. And, there are a half-dozen large party groups (from Arizona Casino Knights to On the Go Casino Parties) to serve the players in the area, but one stands out above the rest: Dream Dealers.
In 2008, the Super Bowl was slated for the University of Phoenix Stadium in nearby Glendale, and entrepreneur Jeff Geller thought it would be fun to have a Super Bowl Poker Tournament. Little did he know that one tournament would lead to him running the area's most successful casino party business, with over 200 events a year.
In fact, Geller's fortunes were less than stellar after the Super Bowl tournament, hosted by Pamela Anderson and local Suns basketball star Shawn Marion. The event went great, and a good time was had by all, but hosting the event put a $75,000 crimp in his pocketbook and left him with six poker tables, chips, banners, and lots of chairs taking over his garage. The only way to make use of the equipment was to start a business, which Geller did in July of 2008.
Geller's philosophy for Dream Dealers is fairly simple: hire models to deal casino games; but his dealers have to love their job, and do it well. To that end, Geller worked with casino dealer (and model Dream Dealer) Rima Bryant to train the lovely ladies to provide both fun and a professional experience at every casino game. In those days the company recruited a few dealers from local casinos, now the casinos recruit from Dream Dealers!
Dream Dealer's equipment is custom manufactured by the same craftsman that build tables for Vegas Casinos and other high end card rooms, gambling chips have company logos, and dealers wear matching uniforms from a stock of over a dozen outfits. What's Provided
Today, Geller can provide casino games and poker for virtually any size event. His group includes 75 dealers and 20 bartenders, and he has provided events for groups like Amazon, Frito Lay, Phoenix Zoo, and the Cincinnati Reds baseball team. His garage no longer holds the growing supply of 30 poker tables, 25 blackjack tables, craps, roulette, slots, and other supplies necessary for the businesses many parties and tournaments.
His dealers have been so popular, one client flew a group to deal at the Wrigley Rooftops in Chicago, and another client flew them to Lake Tahoe for their annual poker tournament. Dealers have had the fun of dealing at exclusive parties to athletes, celebrities, community leaders, and philanthropists. They've also had the fun of dealing to some of the best known poker players around, including Tom Schneider, 2007 World Series of Poker, player of the year, Antonio Esfandiari, current All-Time WSOP money winner, and Vanessa Rousso, who hosted a poker tutorial for Go Daddy.Choosing a Casino Party Company for Your Event
Choosing the right company for your casino event is an important decision that will reflect on you and your own organization. Dream Dealer's CEO Jeff Geller says his favorite quote from a new customer is, “Last time we decided to go with a cheaper casino company and they made our party look cheap.” That's something to keep in mind.
Make sure you know what is included in any party package, who the dealers are, what the equipment looks like, and get references! Prices may be standard, but the overall experience for your guests should be exceptional. Packages may include such things as tables, chairs, dealers, bartenders, professional security, photography, media exposure, and valet service. And, when your looking at a top provider, book in advance. Dream Dealers expect to do 300 events in 2013!
