The Casino Chip and Gaming Token Collectors Club is a 501(c)(3) educational organization with the mission of preserving gaming history. The club specializes in providing a resource for information and history on gaming memorabilia - chips, tokens, dice, slot cards, playing cards etc.
Archie Black, a chip and token collector from Atlantic City, New Jersey established the Casino Chip and Gaming Tokens Collectors Club (CC>CC) in 1988 in response to the continuing evolution and popularity of chip collecting. For an annual fee of $30, members receive a quarterly magazine about chips and casinos and the CC>CC sponsors an annual show in Las Vegas to celebrate the hobby.
For The BeginnerMembership in the CC>CC offers many things to collectors. For beginners, a mentoring program is available. Buyer's guides are available online, and there are casino memorabilia experts that members can contact for information on all aspects of collecting. Links are provided to excellent web sites about chips, collecting, grading, pricing, mold designs and history.
Club LibraryThe club maintains an extensive library of books, reference materials and DVD's. Extensive means hundreds of films and books and magazines! The club pays shipping to the member and the member returns the materials at their own expense.
While collectors have organized local clubs and meetings for trading and chip sales, the CC>CC's major event is the annual convention in Las Vegas. Each year the founders of the club and many chip collectors and sellers come to Vegas to trade chips, meet new members, and sell all types of casino memorabilia. Large displays of antique casino ashtrays sparkle under chandeliers and enough dice to fill a crap table are featured at dealer's tables.
