Rolling a Six

Five ways to make a 6

In the movies you will see the players picking up the dice and rolling them together in their hands before letting them fly down the table as they scream, "Baby needs a new pair of shoes!" or some other wild chant. This is fine in the movies but it is NOT allowed in the casino. When you are at the tables you are only allowed to handle the dice with one hand.

There are five ways to roll a 6. Five of the 36 combinations of the dice will be a 6 or you can say the odds are 6 1/2 to 1 that any roll will result in a 6.

When you make a Place Bet on the 6 you are paid $7 to $6. You must bet in increments of $6 on this number.

When you make an Odds Bet on the 6 you are paind $6 to $5.
