Most Las Vegas casinos are old and getting older. The Sahara, which is now in the process of disgorging all its contents is old, and since there are no plans to tear it down, it will be getting older - not better.
If you are hoping to find items like chips and dice at the sale, don't hold your breath. Head down to the South Point for the chip show starting Thursday the 23rd and ending Saturday the 25th. Be there to get the deals!
Vegas also has the WSOP going right now at the Rio Casino and apparently there is no shortage of poker players. Attendance numbers are up from the last few years and there are more events scheduled - 58 total, culminating with the $10,000 buy-in championship on July 7th. Because of the large number of entries the final is expected to run 13 days.
