I can't believe I just saw this. Only the shooter and I know the truth.

When it comes to craps, I like horn bets and I think dealers do too, or maybe not.

I was standing at a blackjack game when a player walked up to an empty crap game. He tossed a hundred dollar bill on the layout, but the dealers were talking with the boxman and nothing happened. He waited.

After about 30 seconds the inside dealer reached over and took the money, cut out $100 in fives and passed them to the player. No conversation with the player, only the dealers were talking together.

Still, the player was nice and he tossed a $5 chip towards the stickman and said, "Two-way yo" (a bet on eleven, split with the dealers) after the inside dealer gave him the dice.

The guy shook 'em up and threw a nice lob and the dice totaled eleven. The inside dealer paid his $10 pass line and the stickman noticed the $5 chip and said, "What's this?"

At the same time the player tried to answer, the boxman started their conversation again. I heard the player say, "Two-way, parlay.

The stickman said, "all right, parlay, and the inside dealer tossed him three greens so there was now $80 on eleven.

The guy picked up the dice, tossed a perfect rainbow, and there was a pot of gold at the end when eleven rolled again. He smiled.

The stickman said, "eleven," again and looked at the boxman, who looked like he just realized there was a game going on. There was a pause.

The inside dealer said something just as the boxman made a joke and the player at the same time said, "that was a two-way parlay."

I guess all the stickman heard was "parlay" because he said, "I know it's a parlay, buddy," and then told the inside dealer to pay the player $1200.

I was so surprised I almost hit a hard 18 and the player looked surprised and angry at the same time.

I guess he felt like he gave the dealers every chance, and then he said, "no, not $1200, $1280 and take me down, I'm done."

He then sauntered off with his chips and was lost in the crowd. A minute later I heard the stickman say, "man, the guy wins $1300 and doesn't toke us nothin', what a jerk."

This time I smiled. Craps can be a tough game.
