If you gamble long enough you will see everything. Sure, it's improbable that the dice will total 12 two rolls in a row, but it happens. The house has the edge, but some bets at craps have no house edge - zero. That's what keeps us learning all about craps bets.
The fun of craps isn't the simple fact that some things will happen x-number of times, like a twelve rolling once in 36 rolls on average. It's the strange clumping phenomenon that occurs in all probability trials.
Sometimes you can't win a simple pass line bet even though the house has only a 1.41 percent edge over you. The dice might go against the line ten times in a row. That's dice.
But, sometimes the dice are with you for ten rolls in a row, and that's awesome. That's the thing about dice more than any other casino game. When the dice are hot, you can win a small fortune quickly because the game entices you to make lots of bets.
If you are winning a lot of hands at blackjack, that's fun, and you can raise your bet and do very well. But at craps, you can have a pass line bet and place all the numbers (4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10) and then never lose a bet while the shooter goes on a "heater" for half an hour.
Ever win every bet at a blackjack table for half an hour? No, because the house has about a 51-49 edge every hand. The closer to even, the harder (less probable) it is to win many hands in a row. Try flipping a coin and see how your streaks go.
At craps, seven is the easiest number to roll. It comes up as 1-6, 6-1, 2-5, 5-2, 3-4 and 4-3. Six ways in 36 rolls. Once the point is established and you have place bets, a seven kills you 6 of every 36 rolls on average. I like those odds. I only lose 1/6 of the time.
That's where the clumping and streaks come in. Because seven only comes up once every six rolls on average, sometimes that old number hides for a good ten or fifteen minutes while I win on my line and place bets for the same amount of time. Streaks are good.
Can you predict them? No more than you can predict that you'll win a bet at roulette or blackjack, but when you start winning at craps and press your bets a little each time they hit and get a twenty-minute hand, you'll never forget it, until you get a thirty-minute hand.

I could not have stated the case for CRAPS any better. Last month I watched a man at the Fremont Casino, downtown Las Vegas, roll 26 times before a seven (I know it was 26 because each craps table at the Fremont Casino display the number of rolls between sevens–a very nice added value for players there). The table was “screaming” as he seemed to roll only sixes and eights.
After “sevening” out he collected a number of green chips from fellow gamblers who were not only impressed with his roll but much richer because of it. I have never seen comradeship such as this at the Blackjack or Roulette table, much less a slot machine. You can only get it in CRAPS!
I agree and my true story bears you out Al. It happened at Trump Marina in Atlantic City.
I set up “straight-out” and saw an older gentleman, well dressed with
suit and tie accompanied by a similar-aged woman, also well dressed
who I presumed was his wife. He was rolling and had a pass line and
some place bets. What I didn’t notice at first was that he also had a
$100 black chip resting on the twelve. What happened next was
something I have never experienced in all my years of playing craps.
The gentleman rolled a twelve and collected $3000. He left his $100
bet on the twelve and instructed the crew to set up everyone at the
table with a $10 bet on the twelve. As he shook the dice he said,
“Let’s see if that helps the karma.” He tossed the dice and as they
settled as two sixes the table absolutely exploded! Everyone was
“high-fiving” and whooping and collecting $300 each. It was craps at
its absolute best.
I walked down to the man, shook his hand and told him that in all my
years of craps playing his was the classiest move I’d ever seen. It
really was.
Nice! Karma for the masses.
I witnessed a similar “largesse” a number of years back at the Tropicana in Atlantic City.
4 young ladies from Wilkes-Barre, PA were attending a bachelorette
party and watching the craps game from the far end of the table.
There was a black chip player at that end of the table who threw a $100
chip on the hard 8 for the bride-to-be. The gentlemen to the right of the
black chip player, who had thrown a number of hardways to that point, proceeded to roll a hard eight on his next toss! The table cheered, the young lady had no idea what was happening until the BC player handed her $900 in chips. She just cried with happiness!! a great moment!!
I hope every one know about the fire bat at craps table.
If you make all 6 nos you will get 1000 time of your fire bat max $ 5000.
Last month at brantford ontario casino I made 6 nos.
So I believe craps is the game where you make lot of money and get the fun same time.
