Andy Glazer Passes Away at 48
It is with extreme sadness that I report the death of my friend and fellow writer Andy Glazer. Andy died on July 4th at the age of 48.

Andy was born in Massapequa, N.Y., a cum laude graduate of the University of Michigan and the Emory University School of Law. He gave up Law and became a respected journalist writing about the Gaming Industry and Poker. He was the author of several books as well as the columnist for the Detroit Free Press and Tournament Columnist for CardPlayer Magazine. Andy was an expert Poker Player and loved to share his ideas and knowledge with others through his unique writing style.

But more than his writing and wit, Andy will be remembered most for his warm and caring nature. In the competitive world of poker players and writers Andy stood out as one who was not egotistical or self centered. He treated everyone with respect and dignity and had a way of making everyone around him feel like a long time friend whether you had known him for years or just met him minutes ago.

I met Andy several years ago immediately knew he was one of the "real" people. I will truly miss him as will many others in the Poker and Literary world.

Rest in Peace Andy. Your friends will miss you!
