Casinos Provide Hobbyists with Many Collectibles

By , About.com Guide

Many hobbyists begin collecting casino memorabilia such as chips and dice after visiting their first casino, but the popularity of casino items allow many collectors to buy, sell and trade their items worldwide.

Not everyone has the space or the money to collect slot machines, but collecting the $1 tokens that casinos use in their slot machines doesn't take much space! Other collectibles like slot club cards and even room keys with logos and casino images are popular and easy on the budget.

Collecting casino chips is a very popular hobby. Chips provide a real history of the casinos they represent because as casino ownership changes, so do the chips. A timeline can be made from the earliest to the most current chips at any casino, and multiple denominations make for different collecting groups.

2. Collecting Casino Dice

Not every casino has a crap game, so some casinos don't have any dice for collectors to savor. However, those casinos that have offered dice games often change the size, style, and look of their dice. The different shades of colors and logos used offer the hobbyist plenty of choices in what to collect. Many casino dice have been known to sell for more than $100 a pair.
