Bucky's Casino in Prescott, Arizona is a shining example of how Native American casinos can enhance the towns they are established in. The facility provides a destination, jobs, and excellent customer service for all guests.

Prescott is a town of 40,000 in central Arizona. The town is located between Arizona highways 69 and 169 along the major route of US 17 about an hour from Phoenix and a slightly shorter distance from Flagstaff. Either highway, 69 or 169, involves a half-hour drive to the town. Travelers on US Highway 40 between Flagstaff and Kingman can take highway 89 near Ash Fork for a 45-minute drive to town.

Bucky's is a Yavapai Prescott Indian Reservation business. The tribe works diligently to achieve economic independence through numerous tribal enterprises and is one of the area’s largest employers. They also own the Yavapai casino, a small property at the foot of the hill that Bucky's sits atop.

The 162-room Prescott Resort and Conference Center adjacent to Bucky's Casino overlooks the town of Prescott. Inside the resort, visitors can enjoy luxury suites as well as reasonably priced standard rooms. The popular conference facilities are usually in use for local businesses and events.

Also on the property are several bars and the Eagle's Nest Lounge. Happy Hour runs all day Sunday and M-Sat. 11a.m. - 7p.m. with $1 drafts and $2 well drinks. If you want to relax and be pampered, enjoy the indoor salt water pool and then take advantage of the full-service spa and salon.

Casino

While not large, Bucky's casino is housed on three levels. There are hundreds of slot machines to choose from with many new varieties. Video poker games are often in demand, but games can also be found in the upper-floor bar.

The casino features a small pit, close to the front entrance. Included are standard blackjack games with limits as low as $2 to $100. The tables have side-bets such as Lucky Ladies, Push Your Luck, and Perfect Pairs.

Table games are open 24-hours a day and also feature Texas Shootout. Table games upstairs (poker) usually run 11a.m. to 11p.m.

The poker room is quite spacious with seven tables. Hold'em poker is the most popular game with a $3-6 limit, although Omaha is spread on occasion. Promotions include high hand bonuses and a progressive aces-cracked payoff starting at $50. For tournament players, the room features games several nights a week including shootouts and a "Ladies-Only" event on Tuesday nights at 6p.m. with a $20 buy-in.

Bucky's casino strives to be a community-friendly entertainment venue and offers free poker lessons. Special tournaments can also be organized for local groups or organizations by calling 928-771-6779.
